Laureen Caponigro | Illustrator Laureen Caponigro was a jewelry designer for 25 years. After moving with her husband from New England to a small farm in warm, sunny Ocklawaha, Florida, she continued to design a small line of jewelry, but now focuses more on oil painting and illustrating. Laureen says, "As a child I was always drawing. My first art lesson was at the age of nine. I feel very blessed working in career that I have always loved." Although Laureen does a lot of commercial artwork and commissioned portraits, she believes God opened the door that led her to illustrating “A Tabby's Gift,” a Christian children's book, and a mural for a small church in Florida. "Both experiences were so meaningful, I know Christian Writing Services is where I should be." "Whether it's an oil painting I'm creating from my favorite scripture, or a quirky character in a story book, I put the same amount of energy into it. It's important to me to meet clients' expectations and bring their story to life." View Samples |
